Frequently asked questions
How do you calculate a test grade?
Divide the number of correct answers by the total number of questions, then multiply by 100. For example, 17 correct out of 20 is 17 ÷ 20 × 100 = 85%.
What is an EZ grader?
An EZ grader is a quick reference that converts the number of questions wrong into a percentage, so teachers can grade a pile of papers without doing the math each time. The grading chart above is a digital version.
How is the letter grade decided?
We map the percentage to a letter using the standard scale: 90+ is an A, 80-89 a B, 70-79 a C, 60-69 a D, and below 60 an F (with +/- bands in between).
